Leadership Team![]() Mei Clark, Executive Director - mei@coastsidechildren.org
Hi, my name is Mei Clark, I joined the CCP family in 2017. I have worked in the classroom as a teacher and have been part of the Administrative team. I hold a Directors permit from The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and a B.A. in East Asian Studies with a minor in Mandarin Chinese from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. I look forward to working closely with our staff to create a fun, safe, and enriching environment for your children to learn in. I grew up in Half Moon Bay and reside here with my husband and two amazing children. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family, paint, camp, cook, and continue my education. Working with children and youth has always been part of my life and now I am able to give back to my community by being a volunteer Camp Director at a sleepaway summer camp. ![]() Yesenia Ramirez- Site Supervisor
yesenia@coastsidechildren.org My name is Yesenia Ramirez and I have been in the Early Childhood Education field since 2003. Prior to joining CCP in 2007, I worked for the Peninsula YMCA as a Program Coordinator for the Summer Camps and After-school programs. I had the opportunity to help lead a week long trip for a group of teenagers to visit the YMCA Youth Migrant Home in Tijuana, Mexico, where we also remodeled a park and a preschool. During my time at CCP, I've had the opportunity to take on different roles as a teacher, administrative assistant, program associate, and supervisor. My experience working for CCP has been awesome and I am very happy working for this program. My goal is to meet the needs of each individual child emotionally, socially, and academically. I will support them in a loving and caring environment where they will learn and grow. I grew up in Half Moon Bay and have an 8 year old daughter. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. |
![]() Lorena Velazquez- Site Supervisor
lorena@coastsidechildren.org My name is Lorena Velazquez and I have been employed at Coastside Children’s Programs since October 1996. I am married, and I have 3 boys and in my spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, listening to music but most of all, I like spending time with my younger boys at their soccer games, where I get to volunteer as a Team manager for the last 4 yrs. I am very passionate in children’s development and the many ways that they learn. Being able to be a part of that process and education is one of my favorite aspects of Early Childhood Education. I love doing art projects with the children and encouraging them to be creative. Having the opportunity to watch the children learn and grow is one of the best parts of my job. |
![]() Shannon Gotschall- Site Supervisor
shannan@coastsidechildren.org My name is Shannan Gotschall. I have been part of the CCP Team since 2009. I hold an AS in Early Childhood Education and Site Supervisor Permit from California Commission of Teacher Credentialing. I've been working in the ECE field since the early 1990's. The best part of being a CCP teacher is watching a child's natural curiosity bloom as they discover new things about their environment and themselves. I also love building relationships with the family members and their children. Some of our families start in the Montara preschool and stay with our school age program through their years at Farallone View Elementary. The connections between families and school support a lifetime love of learning. One of my goals with each child is to create an environment fostering their independence. One that builds their physical and social-emotional skills in everyday experiences. My philosophy about learning is children learn through play with their natural curiosity in what matters to them. |
