From Nirmala Dillman, Board President, CCP
Greetings CCP Families, Staff and Community!
I am pleased to announce that the CCP Board of Directors has a new Executive Director, Diana Buffington! Her first full day will be November 7th.
Diana has been working in the field of early care and education for over 28 years. She began as a teacher in a school-aged program, moving on to work with preschoolers as a teacher and then Lead Teacher, all while she was taking ECE courses and getting her B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University.
She went on to become a Site Supervisor, Program Director and Executive Director of early care and education organizations including Redwood City Child Development Program, Chabot - Las Positas College Lab Schools, and Creative Montessori Learning Center. She recently completed her master's degree in early childhood teaching and learning from Northwestern College.
Through the process of our three interviews with her, we were impressed with her warmth, intelligence and passion for working with children, families, and ECE professionals. She has the real-world experience of supporting teachers and solving problems and going after resources for her programs. We believe she is a really good fit for Coastside Children’s Programs. I hope you will welcome her and get to know her soon.
Warm regards,
Nirmala Dillman, President

Hello CCP Families and the Coastside Community,
I am thrilled to have joined the team at CCP. Everyone has been very welcoming, and I have enjoyed getting to know team members, the families, and the larger community.
I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1996 in both Non-Profit and For-Profit Programs in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Alameda Counties. I have served as a program director and executive director for Peninsula Family Service, Redwood City Child Development Program, the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District Laboratory School and Creative Montessori. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Early Childhood. I currently hold a California State Teaching Credential at the Program Director Level and am a certified trainer for the West Ed Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers. I am an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and have served as a Steering Committee member for the Alameda County Early Care and Education Planning Council. I continue to work as a consultant for early childhood programs and as a mentor for practicum students entering the field of early childhood education, as well as for new early childhood directors. It is my lifelong mission to serve, educate, and support young children, their families, and the community. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you!
Kind regards,
Diana Buffington

After school programs provide a safe place for children to go after school. We offer indoor and outdoor activities and an opportunity for children to explore their surroundings.
